Our celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote was a great success! CT-N taped the event and it is being shown on CT-N television on Saturday Aug 28th at 7:32 pm; Sunday Aug 29th at 7:15 am; and Monday Aug 30th at 9:46 am. We had over 50 people attend with our CT candidates speaking: Congressman Joe Courtney, Kevin Lembo – Comptroller candidate, Treasurer Denise Nappier, Majority Leader Denise Merrill – Secretary of the State candidate, State Senator Andrea Stillman and Gary LeBeau, and State Rep Elissa Wright.  With a slide show of the Women’s Suffrage Movement, everyone left better educated about how much women struggled for us to have the right to vote today.
