When Women Vote, Democrats Win!

The Connecticut Federation of Democratic Women (CFDW) was organized in 1922 by our founder and first president, Fannie Dixon Welch. The CFDW is the oldest Federation of Democratic Women’s organizations in the country. CFDW is a member of the National Federation of Democratic Women.

The purpose of our organization is to support the principles of the Democratic Party, to encourage growth of an intelligent and conscientious electorate and to assume full share of our responsibility for good government.

This is the year to get involved with fellow Democratic women (and men) who are fighting the fight for women’s rights and to get Democrats elected!

With membership, you will be a voting member, participate in all local, state and national events, and contribute to helping get Democrats elected, especially Democratic Women. For a list of local clubs, go to ABOUT page.

If there is not a local club near you, join as an at large member and still be involved!

At large membership is $20 per year.

As a member of CFDW, you are a member of the National Federation of Democratic Women.
